Joseph Drago, Sr.

Joseph  "Joe" Drago Sr. passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017, at the age of 93.  He was born on Tuesday, August 14, 1923 in Simsport, Louisiana to the late Jenny Zeno Drago and the late Louis Drago.  He served as a Fireman, Captain, and then as a District Chief for Hammond Fire Department for over 30 years.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife for 68 years, Josephine Noto Drago; daughters, JoAnn Drago Kostik and her husband Norman, Diana Drago Harrold, and Vicki Drago Hebert and her husband Steve; brothers, Peter Drago, Sam Drago, and Anthony Drago, grandchildren, Becky Kostik Livaudais and her husband Steven, Catherine Harrold Parfait and her husband Nick, and Jennifer Harrold; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Livaudais, Savannah Parfait, Isabella Parfait, Baylee Hallal, and Brighton Parfait.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Drago; mother, Jenny Zeno Drago; son, Joseph (Joey) Drago, Jr.; and son-in-law, William K. Harrold.

Hammond Fire Department, Knights of Columbus, relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm.  

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Cemetery.
