Joseph Collins Dupuy Sr.

Joseph Collins Dupuy, Sr., a native and resident of Maurepas, Louisiana, passed away on December 17th at the age of 81. Collins was an educator at Maurepas High School for 30 years. He dedicated his life to basketball and coaching for many years.

Collins is survived by his wife, Betty Sanchez Dupuy; his daughters Roxanne LeBlanc, and Donna Johnston (Michael); his son, Joseph Collins (Bozo) Dupuy Jr. (Evelyn); grandchildren, Justin (Sara), Raychelle and Blake Johnston, Kacey (Chelsea) and Karlie LeBlanc, and Hunter Dupuy; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Aaliyah Johnston and CarolineLeBlanc; sisters Wilta Edwards, Kerma Guedry (Ronald) and Melba Brenn (Andrew); sister-in-law, Dot Smiley (Milton), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Collins was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Lena Dupuy; and father in law and mother in law, Renny and Myrtle Sanchez.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Maurepas High School Gymnasium, 23923 LA-22, Maurepas, Louisiana 70449. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 9:00 am until the Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 am, at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 22494 Highway 22, Maurepas, Louisiana 70449.

Interment will be in Whitehall Cemetery, Whitehall, Louisiana.
