Jordan Michael Marchand Green passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 34. He was born on Friday, May 21, 1990 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Sylvia Rouse Notariano and Joseph Green. He was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana. Jordan worked at Small Times Skates in Hammond for many years alongside his long time friend, Chris Daniels. He also worked at Sign World for many years, where he worked for Sheree Daniels, who was like a second mother to him. Jordan traveled the world, visiting California, Barcelona, Tulum, Mexico, Colorado, Portland, Berlin, Germany, Poland, Italy, Copenhagen, and Sweden. Jordan made his own adventures everywhere he went, including building a skate park near the Baltic Sea, and helping to teach kids to skateboard all across the world, from Hammond, Louisiana to Berlin, Germany. He had a soft spot for animals, especially stray dogs. He also loved snakes and wanted to be a herpetologist. Jordan participated in many competitions, not to win, but for his joy and love of skateboarding. He also loved fishing in his kayak.
Growing up, Jordan played city league baseball on the all-stars team, always knowing how to rattle an opponent on the field. He loved a vast array of music, and enjoyed dancing alone or in a crowd. Jordan was a great conversationalist and made friends all over the world. He had a generous and humble heart and cared about others, willing to give the shirt off of his back or the shoes off of his feet to help someone. Jordan made custom jewelry from his personal skateboards to make money--which he rarely did, because he would end up giving them away for a smile or a hug. He taught himself to play guitar, and loved to play music with his friends.
Jordan came home to find peace within himself and peace of mind. He always wanted to find his piece of the world without realizing that he was a missing piece for everyone he touched. Jordan wanted to be a good uncle to his nieces and to start creating structure for himself so he could go back to Germany to be the man he strived to be for Paula. His infectious laugh and warm, tight hugs will always be missed.
Jordan lived life on his terms. If he wanted to do it, he did it. Despite not having financial freedom, he learned to live life to the fullest, and showed us how to live life to the fullest. He always looked forward to the next adventure. More than anything, Jordan loved his family, and loved his Ma. He was a good son.
Jordan is survived by his parents, Sylvia and Charles Notariano; father, Joseph Green; his loving fiancé, Paula Nartschik; brothers, James Marchand, Caden Notariano(Jamie), and Cameron Notariano(Sydney); grandparents, Carleen Rouse, Rose Iorizzo, and Bootsie and Mary Jean Notariano; nieces, Raegan Robinson, Sophia Robinson, and Hazel Notariano; aunts, Diana Rouse Cross and Misty Cook(Paul); special aunt, Elizabeth Radford; uncles, David Rouse(Donna) and Russell Rouse; and cousins, Christy Rouse, Corey Long, Kyle Rouse, Devin Cross, Kelsey Hebert(Adam), Willie Rouse, Sarah Cross, Melody Rouse, Kellie Rouse, Joshua Jarreau(Krysten), and a very special cousin Joshua Long.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Marchand; grandparents, William and Dorothy Rouse; grandmother, Ruby Marchand; aunts, Autumn Frenchman and Rebecca Rouse; and childhood friend, Frank Luker.
The family requests that anyone attending Jordan's service wear any jewelry he made, and to wear Jordan attire.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM, until the funeral service begins at 12:00 PM. Rather than having a traditional eulogy, family and friends will be invited to share their favorite Jordan memories. Jordan's family will have him cremated after the service, and spread his ashes at special locations that they know he loved. In lieu of a burial, the family will be continuing the celebration of Jordan's life at Dreamland Skatepark in Hammond, Louisiana immediately after the service.
