Johnny "Johnny Boy" Vicaro

Johnny "Johnny Boy" Vicaro passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at his home in Natalbany, La, at the age of 83.  He was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1934 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Josephine Latino Vicaro and the late Frank Vicaro.  Johnny was a farmer and the owner of Johnny's Plumbing, only two of the many trades he mastered throughout his life.  He was also a charter member and lifelong firefighter of Natalbany Fire Department. Johnny attended Natalbany Baptist Church.  He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone who knew him.  

Johnny is survived by his devoted wife of over 60 years, Rita Galloway Vicaro; daughters, Jackie Vicaro Decker and her husband Scott; and Peggy Sue Vicaro; son, Frank "Bo" Vicaro and girlfriend Lori Parsons; grandchildren; Christina Decker Lacara, Courtney "Cory" Decker and wife Tisha, Nicholas Decker and his wife Jamie, Kimberly Vicaro, and Ashley Vicaro; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rose Vicaro Lamonica, Josie Vicaro Fontana; and brother, Joe Vicaro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine Latino Vicaro; 6 sisters; 1 brother and 1 infant brother.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Natalbany Baptist Church, 48024 Parsonage Rd., Natalbany, Louisiana 70451, on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.  

Internment will follow in Our Lady of Pompeii Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Natalbany Fire Department, 48026 Galafaora Rd., Natalbany, LA 70451.
