Johnnie Thornton

Johnnie Thornton, 65, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. He was born on January 7, 1955, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Catherine Mayfield and O'Wayne Thornton. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Johnnie is survived by his daughter, Kim Thornton Coyne and husband John, grandsons, Blake Thornton and fiance, Alexia Hooker and Bret Coyne; and sister, Wanda Begin and husband Ray.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Branch Thornton; parents, Catherine Mayfield and O'Wayne Thornton; son, Johnnie W. Thornton; sister, Barbara Nell Hooker; and brother, William Mayfield.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, December 28, 2020, at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
