Johnnie Sue Ridgel

Johnnie Sue Ridgel passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 86. She was born on Monday, September 12, 1938 in Franklin County, Georgia to the late Mary and Charlie Dove. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Johnnie is survived by her children, Mary Failla, Martha Pocorobba, and Jacklyn Christie; step-children, Melissa, Danny and Robert Ridgel; grandchildren, Joseph (Jr.), Kayla, Brittany, Katy, Matthew, Daniel, Samantha, Michael , Jacob and Justin and great-grandchildren, Jionni, Giovanni, Jianna aka Bella, Benjamin, Kayden, Charles, Valentina, Enzo-Shinar, Malachi and one more baby girl on the way.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith Ridgel; parents, Mary and Charlie Dove; siblings, Charlie Dove and Carolyn Thomas; and grandchild, Kyrie Chambers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 11:00 am. until services begin at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Mt. Stevens Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
