John "Paul" Richardson

John "Paul" Richardson passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 76.  He was born on Friday, January 31, 1947 in Springfield, Louisiana to the late Dora "Birdie" Hodges Richardson and the late Phillip Richardson.  He was a resident of Kentwood, Louisiana.

Paul enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, and tractors.  He was a humble Christian man who loved his family, helping others, and giving to charity. Paul was an Air Force Veteran.  He graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in accounting, but preferred working outside and was a carpenter by trade.

Paul is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria Ann Knight Richardson; son, Michael Richardson and his wife, Susan; daughter, Brendan Daigle and her husband, Louis; granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Richardson; siblings, Jennie Pearson, Eva Gayle Lott, Virginia Ann Bourn, Luella Resetar, Jessie Roberts, Isaac Richardson, and Phillip "Kemp" Richardson.

In addition to his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Murphy, Carl Bray, Phillip Maxwell, Edmond Omar, and Ronald Russell Richardson; and his sister, Gladys Irene Richardson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will continue the following day, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Richardson Family Cemetery, Holden, Louisiana.
