John E. McAllister

John E. McAllister passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 71. He was born on Friday, June 19, 1953 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Irma and Leon McAllister. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

John is survived by his loving wife, Vicki McAllister; children, Tammy Crawford, Theresa Beard, Angela Gross, John Gross (Christy), Stacy Cooper, David Gross, Shawn Phillips and Carrie McAllister; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; his favorite niece, Linda Stromeyer, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irma and Leon McAllister; and siblings, Linda, Jenny, Charlie, Rhedus, Sadie, Melba Faye and Carl.

Pallbearers will be, John Gross, David Gross, Seth Crawford, Timothy Gross, Cody Cooper and Dave Michelli

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 9:00 am. until services begin at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
