John S. Manzella

John S. Manzella, age 80, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, in Hammond, LA.  He was born October 11, 1943 to the late Mary and Placito Manzella in Hammond, LA.  John was known to be a firecracker, small but mighty, who would say anything that came to his mind.  He enjoyed a cup of coffee sitting on the porch while he was solving all the worlds problems.  John was a skilled welder by trade but would rather be fishing than anything else.  If he wasn't fishing or playing cards he was spending time with his family and making lasting memories that they will cherish forever.

He leaves behind his daughters, Denise Passman (Ricky), Diane Kelley (Jerry), Lisa Reulet, and Tammy Benton (Doug); as well as, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson that he adored. 
Preceding him in death were his parents, beloved wife, Nellie Ann Locicero Manzella; granddaughter, Danyell Duplaisir, brother, Jack Manzella; and his sister, Angie Gerage.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
