John A. Negrotto

John A. Negrotto, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the age of 85. He was born on Saturday, August 3, 1935, in St. Rose, Louisiana, the son of the late Drebing and Anne Passanante Negrotto.

He graduated with honors from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, AL with a degree in Theology. During his 43 years in ministry, John pastored at 4 churches and went on numerous mission trips abroad. He was also the Director of Healing Rooms of Hammond.

John is survived by his daughters, Gwen Simonetti(Andrew), Lynn Keller(Jeffery), Lisa Franklin, and Arva McLaurin(Erlo "Tiger"); grandchildren, Michael Simonetti, Victor John Simonetti(Kristen), Brian Keller, Carey Keller(Ashley), Elise Pierce(Christopher), Renett Hight(Caleb), Myranda Thapa(Saroj), and Candis McLaurin; 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Lalie N. Montalto, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife of 66 years, Jerrilee Tomlinson Negrotto, brothers, Drebing A. Negrotto, Jr., and William J. Negrotto, Sr., and his sister, Shirley Haydel.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel in Ponchatoula, on Monday at 11:00 am, with Victor Simonetti officiating.

Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
