Jimmy John Schliegelmeyer, Sr.

Jimmy John Schliegelmeyer, Sr., of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the age of 76. He was born on December 10, 1946, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, to the late John H. and Willie Brown Schliegelmeyer.

Jimmy is survived by his sons, Jimmy Jr. & Amanda, Rick & Eva, and Glenn Daniel & Bridget Schliegelmeyer; grandchildren, Colby, Gavin, Ashley, Todd, Brett, Anna, and Emily Kate; great-grandchildren, Peyton, River, Madison, Malinda Mason, and Kellin.

As well as siblings, William "Lulu" Schliegelmeyer (Nancy), John "Cheetah" Schliegelmeyer, Jr. (Rhonda), Susan Wall (Ronnie), Catherine "Sissy" Delatte (Paul), and Mary Wells (Lynn); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his loving wife Evon Jenkins Schliegelmeyer; brothers, Charles Rodney and Paul Herman Schliegelmeyer; and granddaughter, Tabitha Schliegelmeyer.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula on Monday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Wetmore Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
