Jessie Mae Threeton Cook

Jessie Mae Threeton Cook, of Springfield, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, March 4, 2022, at the age of 82. She was born on August 22, 1939, in Springfield, Louisiana, the oldest daughter of the late Milton James Threeton, Sr. and Lillie Mae McCrory Threeton. Jessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who is described by all who knew her as “the sweetest lady.” She was the greatest example of a strong Christian woman, helping to raise her brothers and sisters as well as helping with her nieces and nephews.  Jessie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Springfield and Woodland Baptist Church in Springfield, and current member of Oak View Baptist Church in Livingston. She was one of a kind and she is missed so much already.

Jessie is survived by her daughters, Cheryl McCarlie (George), Karen Pirman (David), Carol Pigott (Brian), and Celeste Bourgeois (Sam); son, Larry Cook, Jr.; grandchildren, Kimberly McCullen, Jeremy McCullen (Erica), Justin McCullen (Marissa), Ryan Pirman (Beth), David Pirman (Natasha), Christopher Pirman (Jenna), Brandon Giambalvo, Jennifer Denton (Chris), Devin Cook (Kim), Tyler Pigott, Taylor Pigott, Seth Bourgeois (Kristyn), Kirsten Bourgeois, and Raegan Bourgeois; great grandchildren, Bailee, Kaden, Corbin, Addy, Chloe, Emily, Drake, Allie, Drew, Cameron, Addison, Otis, Jocelyn, Brantley, Maddux, Bennett, and Jasper; sisters, Cat Milton (Gerald) and Mattie Pier (Larry); brother-in-law, Lee Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jessie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ray Cook, Sr.; siblings, Bernice, Milton "Bo", Earl, Murray, Gene, Helen, Dan, and Evelyn; and mother-in-law, Leona Cook.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm, with Brother Andy Stafford officiating.

Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Hollis Milton, Brandon Giambalvo, Jeremy McCullen, Ryan Pirman, Seth Bourgeois, and Tyler Pigott. Honorary pallbearers will be Devin Cook and Justin McCullen.
