Jesse Joseph Stafford

Jesse Joseph Stafford, age 68, from Independence, Louisiana, passed away on July 14, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Tuesday, July 17, 1956. Jesse was hard-working and a jack of all trades. There wasn’t nothing he couldn’t fix. He loved spending time with family and taking vacations, especially to the Smoky Mountains.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Jaydeen Nickens Stafford; children, James Stafford “Davy”, Erica Stafford, Heather Hardy, Jessics Stafford Smith (Devin), Jessi Stafford Davis (Logan), and Layden Stafford “Ty”; grandchildren, Kinley, Rhyder, Jagger, Ruger, MaCaela (Anthony), Krysten (Jacob), Madelyn, Jayden, Riley, Serenity, Jayleigh, Alana, Paris, Ashton, and McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Everleigh, and Riverlyn; and brothers, Ray, Ronnie, and Sal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mavis and David “Crockett” Stafford, his brother, Buck Stafford, and his grandparents.

A visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home- Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Blvd., on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with Pastor Denny Jenkins officiating.
