Our Angel, Jerrie Elizabeth Scott Kinchen, age 77 of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 17, 2019, at Landmark Nursing Home in Hammond. She was born on Friday, September 18, 1942, in Magnolia, Mississippi to Jessie Walter Scott, Jr. and Mamie Cutrer Scott Chilsom. Jerrie loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.Â
Jerrie is survived by her daughters, Joyce Ann Kinchen Mayeaux and her husband Joey, Deborah âDebbieâ Jean Kinchen Kellogg and her husband Billy, Sheila Dwanda Kinchen and Lori Denise Kinchen Hoyt and her husband Tim, her son, Farley Benjamin âBenâ Kinchen and his wife Betty, her grandchildren, Crystal G. Mayeaux Collins, Joseph E. Mayeaux, Bruce A. Kellogg, David P. Waltman Jr, Daphne L. Waltman Goff, Derek W. Waltman, Larry âCJâ Christ Jr, Miranda E. Hoyt, Timothy âGatorâ Hoyt Jr and Heather Nickens Hardy, 15 great grandchildren, her brother, Jessie Wayne Scottand her boyfriend, Calvin âSonnyâ Thompson, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.Â
Jerrie was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Walter Scott, Jr. and Mamie Cutrer Scott Chilsom, her brother, Wendall H. Scott, her sister, Anita Diane Scott,her niece, Lisa Marie Scott and her grandparents, Hiram Harper Cutrer, Jr. and Carolyn âCarrieâ Lee Carter Cutrer.Â
The family would like to thank Landmark Nursing Home and Life Source Hospice Team for all the love and compassion they showed to Jerrie.Â
A Graveside Service Celebrating Jerrieâs Life will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at 12:30 pm at Magnolia City Cemetery, S. Prewett St. in Magnolia, Mississippi.Â
