Jerald Edward Chavers, 71 years old of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away  Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Richard Murphy Hospice House

Jerald was born on Saturday, May 10, 1947, in Independence. He was a retired Carpenter.

Surviving are son, Robert Tomlin, Jr.; daughters, Shannon Rolland and Nadine Roccaforte; sisters, Carol Verker, Charlene Johnson, and Shirley Wallace, former wife, Kathleen (Cissie) Chavers, grandchildren, Vance and Tara Tomlin, Dalys and Jayda Rolland, Merrick and Nadia Roccaforte; great-grandson, Tanner Aubrey Tomlin, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews,.

He is preceded in death by parents, Rev. Charlie Chavers and Juanita Chavers, brother, Charles Chavers, Jr..

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond   .

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Briar Patch Cemetery Loranger, Louisiana.
