Jeffery Wayne Crayton

Jeffery Wayne Crayton, age 50 of Hammond,Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 21, 2019 in Springfield. He was born on Sunday, July 14, 1968, Hammond, Louisiana, to Rufus Jr. and Margaret Bankston Crayton. Jeffery had the gift of gab and loved talking to people a real social butterfly. He enjoyed life and loved pool, playing darts, karaoke,helping people and working on cars, but he especially loved spending time with his family.  

Jeffery is survived by his wife, Angela Payne Crayton, his daughter, Kristy Crayton, his sons, Matthew Crayton and Scott Crayton, his father, Rufus Crayton, Jr., his grandchildren, Lucas and Logan Crayton, his brothers, Edward Crayton and his wife Donna, David Crayton and Ronald Crayton, his sisters, Melanie Niehaus and Alicia Bishop and her husband Paul, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Jeffery was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Bankston Crayton, his granddaughter, Aubrey Crayton and his brother Donald Crayton. 

A Visitation for Jeffery will beheld on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Memorial Service Celebrating Jeffery's Life will immediately follow visitation at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
