Jeannine Lesaicherre Gandy

Jeannine LeSaicherre Gandy, 58, died peacefully at her home Thursday, April 6, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was a native of Metairie, Louisiana but raised her children in Slidell for most of her adult life. Jeannine was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. For more than 20 years she helped manage Evans Creole Candy Company.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James O. Gandy; her parents, Ross J. LeSaicherre, Sr., Marie Handley Janes; and her brother, Ross J. LeSaicherre, Jr.

Surviving Jeannine are her children, Jamie, Jennifer, Jonathan (Rebecka), Jessica and Jay Gandy; her sister, Julie Welch (Jon); stepfather, John Janes Sr.; sister-in-law, Mary LeSaicherre; Stepmother, Gina Oertling; stepbrothers, John Janes Jr., and Jay Janes. She is also survived by 11 beloved grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews with whom she was very close. Jeannine was a kind and generous woman with a huge heart and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, on Monday, May 8, 2017. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the service begins at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel.
