Jeanne Marie Bertaut Meyers
Mrs. Jeanne peacefully passed away on October 14th,2021 at the young age of 89. She was born February 29th, 1932âA Leap Year Baby - to the late Archibald and Verna Bertaut. She had a heart of gold that motivated her to help anyone in need, she would jump right in knowing just what they needed and never asked for anything in return. Mrs. Jeanne was the epitome of an elegant lady, who had a natural gift for style and color in her appearance dress and home decor. She was often found enjoying her favorite television programs with her two kitties on her lap, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family making lasting memories with them. Mrs. Jeanne was known for her amazing cooking skills preparing exquisite meals that would challenge the best of chefs. She always had a special place in her heart for her New Orleans Saints, but nothing was better than watching her own grandchildren participate and achieve in activities giving them love and encouragement. Mrs. Jeanne was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her, and is already deeply missed.Â
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Marie Edwards and husband Tommy, Debbie Thames and husband Jimmy, and Janice Frye and husband Kevin; beautiful grandchildren, Johnathan Edwards and wife Tiffany, Jenna Frederic and husband Kenny, Robert Hudson, Heather Hagan, Tolly Rohler and wife Stacy; precious great-grandchildren Ethan Edwards, Claire Frederic, Collin Frederic, Gage, Cora and Kale, and one little baby, Teddy on the way. Mrs. Jeanne also leaves behind her brother, Archibald Bertaut and wife Joyce; a sister, Sandy Charbonnet; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mrs. Jeanne in death is her husband, Edward A. Meyers; infant, son Edward; and sisters, Carol and Anita.
