Jean Wallace Husser

Jean Wallace Husser is now walking hand in hand with Jesus after peacefully passing away at home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Husser, Louisiana at the age of 93. She was born on Wednesday, April 22, 1931, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Albert and Marie Wallace. Jean was known for her vibrant personality. She was a talented artist, who expressed herself through painting beautiful pictures. She also enjoyed activities that required a lot of patience, such as crocheting, knitting, and embroidery. Jean was a devoted Christian who held her faith close to her heart, diligently reading her Bible from cover to cover. She was bold in sharing her faith and love for Jesus. We take comfort in knowing she is now running with Jesus, free from pain and limitations.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Julie Ann Husser Rick (Buster); grandchildren, Jared Rick (Erin), Jennifer Rick, Jason Husser (Claire), Jardin Husser Stanton (Zach); great-grandchildren, Gaige Penton and Celia Rick.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Morris Alphonse Husser; son, Roch Morris Husser; parents; and brothers, George and Albert Wallace, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m., with Funeral Services starting at 3:00 p.m.

Interment will follow in St. Dominic Catholic Church Cemetery, Husser, Louisiana.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Hammond and Ponchatoula.
