James Richard "Jim" Jones Jr.

James Richard "Jim" Jones Jr., native of Quincy, Illinois and resident of Ponchatoula, passed away at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond on Friday, October 23, 2020, at the age of 80. He was born on April 7, 1940, in Quincy, Illinois, the son of the late James Richard Jones Sr. and Matilda Mehaffey Jones. Jim loved fishing, fur trapping and wood working. He will be dearly missed.

Jim is survived by his children, Terri Ann Sutton and husband Steve, Danny Ray Pease and wife Gay, Roger Pease, and Jerry L. Pease and wife Kim; former son-in-law, Vince Calderone; grandchildren, Vincent Joseph Calderone Jr. and wife Dana, Mary Carol Hebert and husband Joey, Kristin Daniell Ripperda and husband Jarrod, Jessica Gay Clevenger and husband James Todd, Cherlynn Mawby and husband Andy, Tim Pease and wife Jennifer, Scott Pease and wife Tiffany, Joshua Pease, Jonathan Pease, Jesse Pease and wife Amanda, and Joe Pease and wife Chelsea; 29 great grandchildren including Blake, Bryce, Olivia, Noah, and Logan; brother, Bob Jones; niece, Tammy Jones and nephew, Terry Jones.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce W. Jones.

Jim will be laid to rest with his wife Joyce at Quincy Memorial Park in Quincy, Illinois at a later date.
