James Randolph, Jr. gained his angel wings on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the age of 50. He was born on September 5, 1975, in Detroit, Michigan, to his parents, Roberta and James Randolph, Sr.
James was God’s gift to each of us who were blessed to know and love him! He was a father to three beautiful children, a friend to many, and so much more. James graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University as a member of the Lions Basketball Team. He always fought through every challenge with love and passion in his heart. He was employed by Boeing at Stennis Space Center and played a significant part in the Artemis II Spaceship that recently circled the moon! His achievements throughout life brought pride to all of his loved ones. Finding James during his free time would consist of him DJing, cooking, looking for new shoes, or watching TV. As a great dancer who enjoyed all genres of music, he became “Mr. DJ” at Family gatherings. James encouraged his children to be the best versions of themselves in every way possible and would show up to countless amounts of games, performances, and meets to support each of them. We will forever love, honor, and cherish James in our hearts as we reminisce about the beautiful life that he lived.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 19 years, Courtney Zewe Randolph, and three adorable children: Zoey, Mia, and Jay. He is survived by his sisters: Deborah Warren, Claudette Trammer(Harvey), and Tonya Warren; his brother, Antonio Randolph (Keia); his mother-in-law, Susan Dottolo Zewe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his father-in-law, John C. Zewe; and his niece, Keisha Hudson.
Family and friends will be received at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 N Oak St, Hammond, LA 70401, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the Mass begins at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hammond, Louisiana.
