James Oliver "Jot" Tycer, Sr., 74 years old of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1942, in New Orleans. He was a retired boilermaker and served in the United States Marine Corps.
Surviving are his daughter, Kellie Tycer Williams; sons, James O. Tycer, Jr. and wife Reba, Shayne Tycer and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Simon "Chance" Tycer, Montana Tycer Baham, Jocelyn Tycer Robinson, Shayna and Laton Tycer, and Paris Williams; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Caden Tycer, and Samantha and Londen Baham; sisters, Ethel Tycer Fitzgerald and Mamie Reece; brothers, Hubert Monroe Tycer, Jr. and Samuel Paul Boudreaux; and his little sidekick, Paco.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Robelia "Bea" Smith Tycer; and parents, Hubert and Louise Mary Rehm Tycer.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 9:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Loranger Community Cemetery.
