James Dudley Rogers

James Dudley Rogers, a resident of Tickfaw, LA., passed away peacefully at 8:20 A.M. on Tuesday, July 14th,  2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. We are deeply saddened to have lost the love, guidance and encouragement of our precious “DawDaw” but we are comforted with the knowledge that he is in the loving arms of his Savior and Lord.

He served in the United States Air Force and was a lifelong member of Natalbany Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 51 years.  He was the former owner of Rogers Sand & Gravel, Rogers Western Store, and an agent/broker for Gardner Realtors.

Dudley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Richaleen Hayden Rogers, Son, Dudley, Jr. & wife, Ashley; Daughters, Jamie Dalene and husband, Wayne Murrell; and Jennifer and husband, Jimmy Owens; grandchildren, Jed Rogers, Jake Rogers (Kodi), Ginaley Rogers; Megan Murrell, Elizabeth Knight (Blake); Emily Owens; Lindsey Bouvier;  Great-grandchildren-Heath, Joey, Emily and Jace Dudley (coming in October). Sisters; Kathleen Addison (Bart), Betty Parish (Ted), Judie Nicotri (Tommy), Linda Pittman, and Debbie Thibodeaux along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gayle and Mary Kate Edwards Rogers and brother Gayle Rogers, Jr.

A Celebration of Life with be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Natalbany Baptist Church starting 8 A.M. with funeral beginning at 11 A.M. (Public is invited to attend).

The Family and Harry McKneely and Son, request that face mask be mandatory, and social distancing observed.  Thank all of you for your cooperation.

In honor of his memory, donations may be sent to Natalbany Baptist Church Nehemiah Project, (P.O. Box 99, Natalbany, 70401).
