James "Dale" Trousdale Saint, Jr.

James "Dale" Trousdale Saint, Jr., peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Springfield, Louisiana, at the age of 92. He was born on Friday, November 25, 1932, in Hammond, Louisiana, to the late James T. Sr. and Frances Lee Jones Saint. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Dale was a simple, hardworking man who dedicated much of his life to taking care of his family and working. He worked faithfully for many years as a welder for Baton Rouge Machine Works. His strong work ethic and quiet dedication earned him the respect of his peers, many of whom became like family to him. Dale continued working well into his 80s, a true testament to his perseverance and pride in his craft. He was a proud Marine veteran and a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association.

Above all, Dale was a devoted husband and father. He lovingly cared for his daughter, Danielle, and was a devoted companion to his wife and love of his life, Claudine. His quiet strength, loyalty, and deep love for his family defined the man he was and the legacy he leaves behind.

Dale is survived by his brother, Oscar Saint (June); sister, Frances Alene Kennedy; daughter, Deborah Ann Saint; stepdaughter, Rhonda Landry; stepson, David Landry (Debbie); as well as many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, close friends, and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Fortenberry Saint; daughter, Danielle Saint; parents, James T., Sr. and Frances Lee Jones Saint; sister, Jean Graves; and brothers-in-law, Jim Graves (Jean) and Arnold R. Kennedy (Alene).

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with pastor Brad Miller officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
