James Barcia, Sr.

James Barcia, Sr. passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Slidell, Louisiana, at the age of 84. He was born on Saturday, January 10, 1942 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Katie and Vincent Barcia. He was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana. He worked as a salesman at both Bill Hood Nissan and Dixie Motors. James was a loving husband and father.

James is survived by his wife, Ann A. Barcia; children, James J. Barcia, Jr. (Jackie A.) and Joey W. Barcia; grandchildren, Matthew S. and Brandi N Barcia; and siblings, Charles, Mike, Barbara Barcia and Mary Barcia Sherman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roy and Joe Barcia and Sandra Barcia Guidry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 9:00 am until services start at 11:00 am.
