James Allen Jordan

James Allen Jordan passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Slidell, Louisiana, at the age of 71.  He was born on Saturday, December 23, 1950 in Steele, Missouri to the late Calvin Thomas and Esther Deaton Jordan.  He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. James loved the outdoors, and was always running around, looking for kids to play with. He also loved Christmas day and his birthday, which were just two days apart. He was always laughing, and could often be found enjoying a coke or admiring his watch, wallet, and belt. James never wanted to ride a bull, and he didn't like the dogs much, but he always loved his family.

James is survived by his sister, Petrisha (Pat) Jordan Walker; sister, Charlotte Smirh; sister in law, Dawn Jordan; niece, Amanda Walker; nephew, Bobby (Jody) Walker and Kayla Sasser; great nephew, Branson; and niece Gracelynn Walker. He's also survived by Amanda and Jody's mom, Shelly who's helped for many years as well as many other nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Ester Jordan; brothers Calvin Jr And Stevie Jordan; and sisters Polly McElroy, Judy Pruett, and Brenda Jordan Butt.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, January 22, 2022, beginning at 4:00 PM until the memorial service begins at 7:00 PM.
