Jacqueline Parker Currie

Jacqueline Parker Currie, born and raised in Hammond, lost her long battle with Alzheimer's on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the age of 84. Jackie is now entertaining the Heavenly host with her brilliant clogging.

Jackie leaves behind her husband of 65 years, Henry Currie, with whom she traveled many places, both foreign and domestic; her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Beth Currie; her granddaughters, Olivia and Rebekah Currie; all of Springfield, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Parker of Hammond, Louisiana.

Many thanks to Hospice of Mandeville, Louisiana, the staff at Fidelis House, and Ms. Cheryl Richards with Care Patrol for their care of Jackie this past year.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am, with Rev. James Fendleson officiating.

Interment will follow at Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana.
