Jacob Spencer Gray

Jacob Spencer Gray was born June 15, 1999, in Hammond to Justin Spencer Gray and Henrietta Ford Graham, and passed away March 20, 2022, in Amite.  Jacob was a 2017 graduate of Loranger High School, Loranger, LA, and continued his studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.  He was an operator at Elmers Candy Corporation in Ponchatoula.  His hobbies included video games, star gazing, astronomy and his weekly game of Dungeons and Dragons with his friends.  In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his step-mother, Elvira Gray; step-father, Gerald Graham, siblings, Edith Ann Gray, Mary Catherine Gray, Alondra Gray, Dante Gray and Samson Gray; paternal grandparents, William and JoAnn Gray, maternal grandmother, Scarlet Ford; numerous aunts and uncles, including William Gray; niece, Amyra Gray; and numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.  Jacob is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Ford, I; and uncle, Brian Lee Gray.  Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until religious services at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Shannon Dinger and Father Roberto Mercedes.  Interment will follow in Ford Cemetery in Independence.
