Jack Dennis Ridgel

Jack Dennis Ridgel, age 73, peacefully passed away at his Tickfaw residence on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He retired as a Forman for the Tangipahoa Parish Public Works after many dedicated years building and repairing roads and bridges in the parish. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, which most of the time, with his wife, Donna and his boys. Usually those fishing trips turned into a competition to see who could start fishing the fastest, leading to many hook stuck fingers, but always created the best memories they will cherish forever. Jack loved to cook, who was famous for his BBQ and crawfish boils, which will be sorely missed. Until his failing health, he attended all the Ridgel family gatherings, which were held once a month, where he loved to spend time with his big family and cutting up with them as much as he could. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Donna Ridgel; sons, Roy Ridgel (April) and Jack "Little Jack" Ridgel (Emily); grandchildren, Keirstan Ridgel, MaKinley Ridgel, Brayden Ridgel, Logan Ridgel, Nathan Ridgel and Weston Ridgel; mother, Lucille Deli; siblings, Dean Ridgel, Paula Demars, and Marc Ridgel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his father, Edwards Ridgel Sr.; brother, Edward "Eddie" Ridgel Jr.; step-mother, Jean Ridgel; and his step-father, Alex Deli.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Visitation on Friday, November 21st, 2025, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A military service will be held at 6:45 p.m.
