Jack H. Harrison

Jack Harry Harrison, of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away at St. Tammany Parish Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born on Thursday, August 1, 1946, in Hammond, Louisiana, to the late Dolly Duhe and Frank Harrison.

Jack was a hard-working man, who valued his family and friends. He worked as a Supervisor for Crescent Construction for over 40 years. In his younger years, Jack loved racehorses, then later in life he turned his attention to cattle. You could always find Jack out in the field or enjoying a cold one on the porch. 

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis Ann Costanza Harrison; daughters, Jacquelyne Wagner, Stacey Ballard and the late Carolyn Saragusa (Joseph); grand-daughters, Keli Giaratano (Brian) and Kristen Cambre (Joe); great-grandchildren, Kori Giaratano and Caroline Cambre; brother, Claiborne Harrison; sister-in-law, Phyllis Underwood Harrison; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carolyn Saragusa; grandson, Corey Saragusa; sister, Dolly Carlton; brothers, Henry and Bob Harrison.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Saragusa, Brian Giaratano, Michael Wayne Carlton, Joe Cambre, Joshua Costa and Eric Costa. 

The Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 8:30 am until 10:30 am. 

A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 620 3rd St., Independence, Louisiana 70443 with Fr. Rueben Dykes officiating.

Interment will follow at Colonial Cemetery in Independence, LA.
