Jack Calvin Collins Sr.

Jack Calvin Collins Sr. - age 94, a resident of Hammond, died Tuesday, December 25th. He was born in New Orleans on October 23, 1924, son of the late Amelia Bauder Collins and grandson of the late Eleonora Miller Bauder.

He is survived by his son, Jack Collins, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Jerome and Cindy Collins; and grandchildren, Hannah Collins and Holden Collins.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia "Teddy" Richoux Collins and daughter-in-law, Mary Collins.

He served in the Seabees in World War II and was a member of VFW Hammond Post 3652. He was a long-time employee and retiree of NOPSI (Entergy) in New Orleans.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA on Sunday, December 30, 2018  from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 31, 2018 from 8:00 am until the funeral service begins at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel.

Entombment will follow at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery.
