Irma H. Smith

Irma H. Smith, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the age of 94. She was born on January 6, 1926, in Wurzburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Johan Reid and Barbara Michel Ried.  Irma was a member of a local Germany Heritage women's group, a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ponchatoula, as well as an active member of North Cypress Gym.

Irma is survived by her daughter, Linda Boh (Sean); son, Frank Pennucci (Becky); grandchildren, Judas Kinchen, Kenneth Pienik, David Pienik, Kellan Boh, and Chad Boh; great grandchildren, Sydney Pienik, Collen Pienik, Asher Pienik, Adrianna Pienik, Brynn Pienik, Tristan Pienik, Kian Boh, and Marlo Boh.

In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Smith and daughter, Barbara Pienik.

Family and friends will be received at First Presbyterian Church of Ponchatoula Fellowship Hall, 197 S. 4th St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, January 9th  from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm.

Face masks are mandatory to attend any visitation or service and we ask that you maintain a respectful distance with the family. Thank you for your cooperation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Ponchatoula.
