Iris Robertson Matthews

Iris Robertson Matthews, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the age of 85. She was born on December 30, 1934, in Robert, Louisiana, the daughter of the late William H. "Doc" Robertson and Virginia Booth Robertson.

Iris is survived by her children, Leslie A. Matthews and wife Vera, Gail Matthews Snider and deceased husband Richard Snider, Stevie R. Matthews and wife Penny, and Travis D. Matthews and wife Sissie; grandchildren, Kimberly Snider, Kyle Matthews and wife Shay, Stephanie Matthews Kell and Matthew Cooke, Dustin Matthews, Trenton Matthews, and Tyler Matthews; great grandchildren, Kristian, Kaitlyn and Zachary Montgomery, Makenzie and William Kell, and Ella, Riley and Cate Matthews; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Matthews; and siblings, James Robertson, Douglas Robertson, and Myrtis Sticker Mickenheim.

Services will be held privately. Family and friends are encouraged to send condolences and share memories online.

Iris will be laid to rest with her husband at Willie Lee Cemetery in Folsom, Louisiana.
