Imogene Tarver Rushing

Imogene Tarver Rushing, a loving wife and mother, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016, in Hammond, at the age of 83.  She was born on Monday, March 6, 1933, in Tennessee to the late Rosie Grooms Tarver and the late Collin Tarver.  She was a resident of Ponchatoula.

Imogene is survived by her husband of 55 years, Earl W. Rushing, son, Daniel Rushing, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Paul Overley, brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Wanda Tarver, nephew and niece, Jason and Kristin Overley, great-nieces, Khloe and Kennedy Overley, and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Collin Tarver; mother, Rosie Grooms Tarver, two brothers, Earl and Carl Tarver, two sisters, Betty Sue Everett and Lorene Rogers, and two brothers-in-law, John Rogers and Kenneth Everett.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Jesus Name Holiness Church, 255 SE Service Rd., Ponchatoula, on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be held at Jesus Name Holiness Church on Sunday, December 11, 2016, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and on Monday, after 8:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
