Ida Belle Davis

Ida Belle Davis, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the age of 89. She was born on Monday, April 20, 1931, in Topeka, Mississippi. Ida Belle Davis was a loving, devoted, and caring wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was very devoted to her family. She instilled in her sons strong values that served them well. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.  Ida was a resident of Hammond, La.

Ida is survived by her sons, Marlin Ray Welch and his wife Carolyn and Marty Roy Welch and his wife Mary; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Ray Welch, Daniel Robert Welch, Melissa Rose Welch, Shawn Lee Welch and his wife Jen, Danielle Nicole Thornton and her husband Brett, Daryl Mercier, Donna and Sharon; great-grandchildren, Willow, Raven, Zoe, Lily, Hosanna and Grady; and sister Ruth Buie.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jasper and Retha Hunt Lambert; son Gregory Dean Welch; 1st husband Tommy Odom; 2nd husband, Roy Lee Welch; 3rd husband, L.J. Davis Jr.; and brother James Alfred Hammons.

A Graveside Service for Family and Friends will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 10:00 am at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 41372 Thompson Drive, Hammond, La 70403.

Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond, Louisiana.
