Morgan, Howard  “Woody”

Woody was born December 22, 1934 in Albany, LA, and passed away November 17, 2020 at age 85.  He was a lifetime resident of Hammond and a member of The Church of Christ, the Hammond and Ponchatoula Lions Club, Springfield Chapter of Am Vets, and a former member of the Hammond Volunteer Fire Department.  A U.S. Army veteran, Woody was a retired salesman.  His favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Addison Morgan; children, Lynnette Glascock and husband Virgil, Joel Morgan and wife Christy, and Kayla Morgan; grandchildren, Brittany Rushing and husband Ryan, Garrett Glascock, Sophia Morgan and Gunnar Morgan; great grandchildchildren, Reese and River Rushing; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Woody is preceded in death by his daughter, Ramona Morgan; parents, Oscar and Ruth Morgan; sisters, Iona Wagner and Yvonne Morgan; and a brother, Jerry Morgan.  Visiting will be at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Hammond, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 10:00 am until religious services at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Jeremy Glascock, with special remarks by Ken Johnston.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
