Henrietta Davis

Henrietta Davis, 82 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019, in Hammond. She was born on Thursday, September 3, 1936, in Independence, Louisiana to Willie Morgan, Sr., and Viola Reid Morgan. Henrietta enjoyed life and loved to collect porcelain dolls and go to their hunting camp, but she especially loved spending time with her husband.

Henrietta is survived by her sons, George E. Davis, Jr. and Randy Allen Davis and his wife Tina, her daughters, Katherine Johnson and her husband James, Sr. and Karen Brunett and her husband Todd, her grandchildren, James "Buddha" Johnson, Jr., Felicia Davis, Daniel "Boone" Wainwright and his wife Heather, Ashley Davis, Allen Garon, Chris Hill and Cassidy Hill, her great grandchildren, Tori, Trinity, Landon, Brooklyn, Jasper, Dillon, Wyatt, Genna, Rylee, Rheid, Jayden, Piper and Braden, her brother, Willie "Junior" Morgan, Jr., also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Henrietta is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Morgan, Sr., and Viola Reid Morgan, husband George E. Davis, Sr., her brothers, Bobby, Jimmy and Johnny Morgan and her sister Ann Hoyt.

A Visitation for Henrietta will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 6:00pm until 9:00 pm and continue Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Henrietta's Life will immediately follow visitation at 10:30 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Albany.
