Helen A. Thorske

Helen A. Thorske passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 87. She was born on August 26, 1937 in Sun, Louisiana to the late Elizabeth and Frank Hoyt. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Helen is survived by her children, Helen "Liz" Alaniz, Ruby Darlene Fletcher (Russel), Sonny Thorske (Julie), Inger Monistere (Keith), Kenneth Thorske (Jodi), Kathy Forstall (Timothy), Angel Klingman (Kenneth); daughter-in-law, Linda Thorske, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Trygve Thorske; son, Johnny Thorske; parents, Elizabeth and Frank Hoyt; siblings, Burnis Hoyt, Myrtis Hoyt, Cathleen Prevost, Ted Hoyt and Ruby Tallia; and great-grandchild, Kaylee Elliot.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 9:00 am until services start at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Morgan Family Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
