Helen A. Trigo

Helen Cecilia Albeanise Trigo, age 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, December 14, 2020. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Hammond for the last 16 years. Helen’s faith was central to her life. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America where she served as Regent, St. Albert the Great Court 2050, and an Auxiliary member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2952.

Helen was lovingly devoted to her husband Frank of 63 years. From this love she became the mother of 5 children, Richard (Peggy) Trigo, Wayne Trigo, Mary Ann (Kenny) Zeagler, Bruce (Lisa) Trigo, and Tommy (Sonya) Trigo. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, and her brother Harold (Fran) Albeanise, Jr., also many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Albeanise, Sr. and Cecilia Albeanise, her sister, Carolyn Albeanise Miceli, and her great grandson Jacob Michael Garcia.

A Visitation for Helen will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Helen’s Life will follow visitation, 10:30 am at Holy Ghost Catholic church in Hammond. Interment will be private at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes all memorial donations be made to the Catholic Daughters of America, 10 West 71st Street, New York, NY 10023 or local chapter St. Albert The Great #2050, 600 N Oak St, Hammond, LA 70401 in Helen's memory.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home and church. Thank you for your cooperation.
