Hazel Ruth Dickerson

Hazel Ruth Dickerson, age 103 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019, at her home, Hazel was born on Saturday, January 15, 1916, in Detroit, Michigan.

Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Joan Verena McLellan, and Carol Anne Robertson; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Dickerson; seven grandchildren, Linda Sue McLellan, Robert Charles McLellan, Sandra Carolyn Priestner, Candace Carr, Jodi McConnell, Robin Christine Rodrigue and Brandon Davis Robertson; great-grandchildren, Brian, Kyle and Lisa McLellan, Faith Travis, Anna Gibson, Colin Carr, Bryce and Nathaniel Rodrigue, Keira Rai Robertson, Sarah Boylan and Max McConnell, great-great grandchildren, Edward and Wilson Travis,.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Dickerson; a son, William Ray Dickerson; and a grandson, Michael David McLellan.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A celebration of Hazels life will be on Saturday, following the visitation at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow at Mitchell Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
