Hazel Adams Guzzardo

Hazel A. Guzzardo, age 63, gained her angel wings on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, La. She was born on October 13, 1962, in Franklinton, Louisiana. Mrs. Hazel was a one of a kind lady who was known for her caring but feisty ways. She enjoyed watching her westerns, collecting Coca-Cola trinkets, Betty Boop, comfy throw blankets, and cuddling up next to her chihuahua, Jack . Cooking and baking were dear to her heart, where her famous potato salad and peach cobbler were often requested at all the family and church functions. She was a faithful member of Natalbany Baptist Church. Spending time with her friends, Kathy Forstall and Inger Monistere, who also introduced her to her husband, Mr. John 26 years ago, still would get together to play bingo and cards. Mrs. Hazel was a mother to all who came by, where she would spoil, correct, and love on them. In her spare time, she could often be found on her porch watching the birds chirping, flowers swaying in the breeze, cute critters that wander into the yard or soaking in the outdoor scenery. Mrs. Hazel was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 24 years, John Guzzardo; sons, Jason Adams (Paige), and Jokota Guzzardo (Kathryn); grandchildren, Stiles, Lexi, Audrey, Emmrey, Charlie, and Koda; sister, Connie Cutrer; mother-in-law, Patricia Guzzardo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ross and Lilly Adams; and her father-in-law, Mike Guzzardo, Sr.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, La, 70401. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.
