Harvey James Miller, Jr.

Harvey James Miller Jr., age 64, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Heritage Health Care in Hammond. He was born on Friday, November 23, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Harvey James Miller, Sr. and Barbara Lanoue Miller. He graduated from Loranger High School in 1977. Before he lost his vision, he was an active member of The Loranger United Methodist Men's Group. His church family was important to him. He passed time watching/listening to sports and game shows. Harvey enjoyed life and loved fishing, but he especially loved spending time with his family.

Harvey is survived by his daughters, Barbara Matthews (husband Eric) and Marilyn Gibson, his grandchildren, Shelby Matthews, Logan Matthews, Jayda Gibson, Leland Miller and Faylynn Gibson, his brother, Albert Miller, his sisters, Lynette DeLand (husband Carl) and Sue "Suzi" Bosio, also, many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey James Miller, Sr., and Barbara Lanoue Miller.

A Memorial Visitation for Harvey will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Memorial Service Celebrating Harvey's Life will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
