Harry Bernard Jr.

On Sunday, October 20, 2019, Harry Bernard Jr. a resident of Hammond, La. passed away at the age of 76 at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, La. He was born Tuesday, August 24, 1943 to Billy Ruth Campbell Bernard and Harry Bernard Sr.

Harry is survived by his wife, Pamela Shelton Bernard of Hammond, children: Britt Bernard and wife Patty, Bridget Bernard Lamb and husband Robert, Brian Bernard and wife Mandi, Stacy Costanza, stepdaughter Alycia and husband Ron Ward. Grandchildren: Britt Bernard Jr, Christina Bernard Gremillion and husband Aaron, Dylan Graham and wife Meagan, Londyn Lamb, Berklei Bernard, Gage Bernard, Harrison and Georgia Ward, Derrick Pepper and wife Lindsey and Tyler Rezentes. Great­-grandchildren: Farrah Bernard, Kason and Addy Graham, Noah Cormier, Legend and Braxton Broussard. Survivors also include sisters Penny Dreher, Patsy Butler, Ruth Bergeron and brother GW (Mackie) McClendon, Jr. Preceded in death by his father GW McClendon Sr., mother Billie Ruth McClendon Yersavich, former wife Loretta Vilardo Bernard and brother-in-laws: Donald Dreher and Preston Melton.

Harry had been fighting a long hard battle from the affects of Agent Orange contracted while serving in Viet Nam and Thailand with the United States Army.

A private memorial service for his family will be held at a later date.
