Harold Glenn Guillot, Sr., of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 73. He was born on December 17, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Raymond Joseph Guillot Sr. and Minnie Riles Guidry. Harold’s life was characterized by a remarkable sense of humor, boundless energy, and a commitment to hard work. For more than forty-five years, he was a dedicated welder. Harold was well known for his love of drag racing, betting on horses, cutting grass, and watching college football. Many fondly remember his sense of humor from telling jokes to pulling pranks on those he loved. His wife, Mary, was his soul mate and best friend, their partnership was marked by deep love, playfulness, and commitment. Endearingly, she called him "Wild Thing"-a testament to his lively spirit. Together, they were inseparable, a constant source of happiness and strength to one another. He was a wonderful father who would do anything for his kids. He cherished the special bond he shared with his daughter Joyce, often referring to her as his buddy, while his daughter Catherine was always his baby girl. Harold also loved his grandchildren and it brought him great happiness to meet his newest grandbaby, Jean Marie White. Harold was an unstoppable force and was loved by so many.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Mary DuBose Guillot; sister, Shirley Jean Walters; brother, Raymond Joseph Denalli; children, Holly Guillot, Harold Guillot, Jr. (Jenelyn), Scott Guillot, Herman DuBose, Joyce DuBose, Catherine DuBose (John White), and Tiffany Dow Godfrey (Jeff); great grandchildren, Caden Guillot, Aiden Hope, Madison White, Joseph White, Jean White, and Jakob Godfrey; nieces and nephews, Lloyd DuBose, Tim Walters (Jane), Kim Brooks (Herbie), Norman Wilt, Jr., Kerrin Barras (Savannah), and Tonya Kutz; great nieces and nephews, Zane Wiggins, Tristen Wiggins, Heaven Wilt, Nickolas Barras, Alex Kutz, Allie Kutz, Michael Walters, Krystal Brooks, Greg Meyer, Jr. (Jayme), and Dustin Brooks; and great great nephew, Levi Bonicard.
