Hannah Nicole Freitas, age 26, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born December 16, 1998, to Manuel "Chip" Freitas and Melissa Crow Freitas.
Hannah was a 2017 graduate of Destrehan High School where she was a proud member of The Pride of Destrehan Fighting Wildcat Marching Band. She continued her music education at Southeastern University in Hammond, majoring in music performance. She was a proud member of the Spirit of the Southland Marching band, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and the Basketball Pep Band. She also played with the Northlake Community Band.
She had a silly personality with an unforgettable smile. Hannah deeply loved her family, friends, playing her flute and piccolo, Mario Kart, and animals. Her loss leaves a void in the lives of everyone that knew and loved her.
Hannah is survived by her mother Melissa Freitas (Stephen Randall), her brother's John Freitas (Denaie) and Casey Freitas, sister-in-law Denaie Jennings Freitas, nephews Logan and Brodie, nieces Jordan and Harper, Grandmother Barbara Morales Crow, several aunts, uncles, cousins, her beloved dog Buck, and numerous friend who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel "Chip" Freitas, grandparents Manuel J. Freitas, Bessie Faye "Linda" Freitas, Lacy L. Crow Sr., Uncle Lacy L.Crow Jr..
Hannah's wish for a celebration of her life will be held on a later date.
The family wishes to thank LSU New Orleans Gynecologic Oncology. University Medical Center New Orleans, Ochsner Therapy & Wellness-Hammond, and the entire community for the care, support, and love that was given to our sweet Hannah.
