Hallie Marie Milton

Hallie Kirkland Milton was born on June 27th, 1947, to the late Jessie Kirkland and Anna Starkey Kirkland. She passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at North Oaks Hospital. She was 79 years old. Hallie was a lifelong resident of Baptist, Louisiana, and was married to her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, James Clinton Milton.

Hallie was known for welcoming anyone into her home any day of the week! If you came by, there was always a good home cooked meal served with love and laughter at the dinner table. Hallie was a very strong woman, who loved the Lord deeply. She gave the best hugs, and no one could make you feel as comforted and loved with just one hug. She loved the outdoors and working in her flower beds. When she wasn't tending to her flowers, playing horse shoes and cards were her favorite hobbies. Above anything else though, Hallie loved being around her family. Spending time with them brought her the most joy and happiness. Watching her kids, grandkids, and now great-grandkids grow up was her favorite hobby of all time. Not only did Hallie and James have an outstanding marriage, but they were the proudest parents of two beautiful daughters whom they loved both deeply, Donna and Lisa.

Hallie is survived by her husband, James Milton; daughter, Donna Milton; 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann Milton; parents, Jessie Kirkland and Anna Starkey Kirkland; and siblings, Jessie Bradshaw Kirkland, Jr., Kathryn Elaine Kirkland, James K. Kirkland, Sr., and Jake Densimore Kirkland, Sr.
