Guy Peter Dimattia

Guy Peter DiMattia passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at the age of 90. He was born on Thursday, September 8, 1927 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Luke and Irene DiMattia. He was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Guy is survived by his loving children, Sal DiMattia and his wife Alexis, and his daughter Sarah A. Magliolo and her husband Sam; his devoted grandchildren, Heather, Bridget, Kevin and Adrienne and great grandchildren, Morgan, Jesse, Sarah, Emma, Elijah, Jeremiah, Isabella and Isaiah; his brothers and sisters, Angelo DiMattia, Annie Williams, Theresa Pourciau, Imelda Webster and Lukenia DiMattia, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family friends.

He was preceded in death by beloved wife of over 55 years, Lena Ann DiMattia, as well as his brother Luke DiMattia, Jr. and his sister Katie Chapman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Pompeii Cemetery.
