Granville "Hal" Hallum Williams, of Springfield, Louisiana, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 90, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Monday, May 6, 1935, in Wesson, Mississippi, the son of the late Wilmer Fairly Williams and Stella Storey Williams.

Hal proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was known in his community to be one hell of a carpenter, who took pride and dedication in his work creating beautiful masterpieces. In his spare time, he loved to hit the great outdoors by traveling the country and camping with his family, and trying his luck at the casino until he got kicked out. Hal was always down for an adventure and liked to get into mischief. He enjoyed watching sprint car racing and loving on his animals, especially his cats. Hal was an avid churchgoer who was strong in his faith and never missed a Sunday to worship our Lord. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ponchatoula. Hal had a generous heart and always tried to give to others when he could. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose memory will be cherished forever.

Hal is survived by his two sons, Walter Williams and Michael Williams (Melinda); grandchildren, Jason Williams (Jennifer), Sean Williams, Bethany Williams, Shelby Williams, and Aaron Williams, Joshua Sadol, and Zachary Sadol; great-grandchildren, Cassiel amd Makiel Williams, Pernilla Williams, and a sweet grandbaby on the way; and stepdaughter, Bonnie Wight-Clasby.

In addition to his parents, Hal was preceded by his wife of 26 years, Nancy L. Tyndall Williams; daughter-in-law, LaDonna Williams, stepdaughters, Carol Wight Shafer and Goldie Landis; step-granddaughter, Nicole Calixtro-Faul; and aunt, Evelyn Williams.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 10:00 am until the funeral services begins at 12:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held at Wesson Cemetery in Wesson, Mississippi, at 2:30 pm.
