Grace Ann Schiro Restivo

Grace Ann Schiro Restivo passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 91.  She was born on Friday, January 23, 1931 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Jeannie Liuzza Schiro and the late Carlo Schiro.  She was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Grace loved to crochet and loved to bake even more. She was very good at it and was known to make fresh bread or pies often. She also loved bingo and at times might even play three times a week. Most of all, Grace loved spending time with her numerous family members, whom she loved dearly.

Grace is survived by her children, Vickie Restivo Strahan and her husband, Arthur, Virginia Restivo Danna and her husband, John, Carlo Frank Restivo and his wife, Gayle, and Frank Restivo, Jr. and his wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Wendy Restivo Kutz and her husband, Michael, Joseph Restivo, Jr., Travis John Lindsey and his wife, Mary, Sonya Lindsey Fuselier and her husband, Jon, Bret Alan Strahan, John Hardie Danna and his wife, Marcie, Stephanie Anderson McGovern and her husband, Dave, Salvadore Anderson and his wife, Mariah, and Alex Anderson and his wife, Megan; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Frank Salvadore Restivo; son, Joesph Salvadore Restivo; and siblings, Theodore "Teddy" Schiro, Jake Schiro, Tony Schiro, Luke Schiro, Lena Gennaro, Margaret Nuccio, Mary Dattalo, and Phine Gulino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466, at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers for Grace will be Travis John Lindsey, John Hardie Danna, Joe Restivo, Jr., Nicholas Johnson, Alex Anderson, and Sal Anderson.

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude in Grace's name.
