Gloria Marie Silverthorne

Gloria Bourgeois Silverthorne was born November 11, 1939, in Ponchatoula, LA to the late Herbert Eugene Bourgeois and Inez Morales Bourgeois. She passed away on October 15, 2024, in Russellville, AR. Gloria was a resident of Russellville, a former longtime resident of Roebuck, SC, and a native of Ponchatoula. She and her husband were the founding owners of Southern Bow Hunter Pro-Archery in Hammond, before moving their business to Greer, SC. She is survived by her children, Kevlin Foster, Jr. (Verna), of Hammond, Frances Seay (Chuck), of Roebuck, SC, and Judy Hill (Vernon, Sr.), of Russellville, AR; a sister, Linda Harper, of Loranger; a brother, Roland Bourgeois, of Ponchatoula, ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, James Silverthorne; a son, Danny Foster; and two brothers, Robert Bourgeois and Hanson Bourgeois. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Monday, October 21, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Loranger Cemetery.
